Today I went for the pre-operative blood work and ECG. My CT scan is on July 27, to determine the size and type of implant I’ll need and how much bone there is to work with, etc.
The hospital where I’ll be having my surgery is beautiful. Full of natural light and bringing the outdoors in. All the rooms are private. Although I’ll only be there for a couple of days maximum, it seems like it will be a nice place to be. The staff I encountered today were all smiling and happy to be at work. All the tests were done really efficiently and quickly. I can’t help but be nervous that I’ll somehow “fail” the bloodwork or ECG, even though I know that’s not realistic as I am a very healthy person. I’m just very deconditioned and my cardio endurance is total garbage. I hope that my residual good health is good enough!
